About

We listen, act, and transform

At A R Therapy & Consulting LLC, our aim is to assist women in achieving mental and emotional growth, enabling them to exhibit authenticity in both their personal and professional lives. With a track record of aiding thousands of women in experiencing healing, empowerment, and restoration, we're confident that we can help you too. If you're currently healing from a loss or trauma, experiencing self-defeating behaviors or thoughts, struggling to regulate your emotions healthily, need guidance in making a decision, or seeking a fresh perspective, we're here to support you. We can also help you uphold your boundaries, make changes, and accept difficult situations. Our approach is grounded in cognitive-behavioral therapy and a supportive style to help you overcome the intense thought patterns and emotions surrounding your traumatic experiences, whether personal or professional. This process will make them more manageable so that you can move forward and live a life that is healed, empowered, and restored. We welcome therapy clients from Florida and Missouri, and we accept insurance from UHC, Oxford, Aetna, and private pay in Florida only. Our additional focus area is coaching for women, and you can find more information about available programs on our website, amethystroberson.com. As for my credentials and qualifications, I hold an MA in Professional Counseling from Oral Roberts University, and I am a licensed professional counselor in Missouri (2010019252 exp. 6/30/23) and a TLHT licensed mental health counselor in Florida (TPMC1372 exp. 6/30/23). I'm also a nationally certified counselor. In therapy, we address a wide range of common issues, such as anxiety, premarital concerns, attachment issues, communication, thinking errors, emotional intelligence, confidence issues, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and trauma. Lastly, if you're interested in finding healing, empowerment, and restoration, please check out my podcast, Healing HER with Amethyst Roberson, available on Apple Podcast and Spotify. ****Special Notice to clients and prospective clients: Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services. You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service, or at any time during treatment. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, or how to dispute a bill, see your Estimate, or visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
